Connie Ice

Connie Sue Ice, 66, of Tecumseh, KS, passed away on February 3rd, 2022. She was born on May 12th, 1955 to Wayne & Mildred (Noble) Ice. Connie would graduate from Shawnee Heights High School in 1973 and would later attend Baker University, graduating with an Associates of Business degree in 2019. Until 2002, she worked as a bookkeeper for multiple institutions, including Kaw Valley, where she worked for over 20 years.

An avid sports fan, Connie enjoyed watching KU basketball, and cheering on the Chiefs. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time at the golf course. Many trips to Naples, Florida were made to spend time and enjoy the beach.

She was preceded in passing by both of her parents and her nephew, Cory Cooper.

Surviving Connie are her children; Adam (Abby) Price, & Kelly Barnes. Also survived by Connie is her sister; Cindy (Craig) Cooper, and four grandchildren; Eleanor & Madison Price, and Trysten & Kaydence Barnes, her nephew Daniel (Kristi) Cooper and their children; Brody & Kiera.

Visitation will take place at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, from 5-7pm on Thursday, February 10th, 2022. A funeral service will be held at Tecumseh United Methodist Church, 334 SE Tecumseh Road, on Friday February 11th, 2022 at 11am.
