Con Davis Walsh, age 24, passed away in Lawrence, Kansas. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Regis Walsh and Elisabeth Spainhour.
Con was an individualist, a student of life, an unconventional award-winning artist, who questioned everything. He was gentle and kind, but mercurial. He was adored by his family and will be greatly missed.
Con is survived by parents Regis Walsh and Elisabeth Spainhour, sister Meghan Walsh, and godmother and aunt Julia Spainhour (Rebecca Floyd); paternal grandparents Richard Walsh of Cave Creek, Arizona and Mary Davis Walsh of Paralta, New Mexico, maternal grandparents Con and Barbara Spainhour of Winfield; Aunts and uncles, Matthew Walsh (Connie), Peter Walsh (Diane), Bridget Noce (Michael), John Walsh (Ida), Phillip Walsh (Maria), Jane Hadley (Bill), Terry Walsh (Barbara), Norah Walsh, Dennis Walsh (Judy), Kevin Walsh (Jerry), Catherine Delaney (David), Margaret Hamilton (Steve), Sarah Jones (Robert), Katherine Neuenschwander (Russell), Martha Lehner (Scott), John Spainhour (Rosa), Sam Spainhour (Carie), Suzanne Gentry (Brian); Cousins Kyle and Alec Neuenschwander, Kurt, Amanda, Wyatt, and Grant Lehner, Chelsa, Kristen, Ben and Katie Spainhour, Arin, Rebekah, and Riley Spainhour, Anna and Paul Gentry.
A Memorial Gathering to remember Con will be held Saturday October 24, 2009, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604.
