Clifton Leon Webb, 82, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday November 3, 2004 at Stormont Vail Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born August 12, 1922 in Somerville, TN the son of Willie Clifton and Lois C. Webb.
After high school he enlisted in the Navy and served in World War II on the USS Pillsbury which captured a German Submarine that is now on display in Chicago, IL.
He was an active member of First Southern Baptist Church and a volunteer for TPAC.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Billie M. Webb and two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his beautiful bride of five months, Jessie Brinkman-Webb, daughters Connie Park and husband John of Ft. Scott, KS, Valerie Webb and husband Gene Holland of Kansas City, KS, Elisia Drake and husband Michael of Salem, OR, stepdaughters Linda Willis and husband Rodger of Verden, OK, Cherie Koci and husband Jeff of Auburn, KS, stepsons Ronald Brinkman and wife Sharon of Tuscon, AZ, Gary Brinkman, Dennis Brinkman and wife Vera of Carbondale, KS, 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson and his many friends in Christ.
Mr. Webb will lie in state after 3:00 pm, Friday November 5, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Midtown Chapel where the family will greet friends from 6:00-7:30 pm. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at 2:00 pm at White Chapel Cemetery 6600 N. Antioch Rd. Gladstone, MO.
