81, Topeka passed away May 12, 2004. He was born September 29, 1922 in Galena, KS the son of Cecil and Ida Mace Watkins. Clifford attended Riverton High School. Mr. Watkins serviced in US Army in the First Infantry Division for 3 years and the US Army Air Force for 2 years during World War II in the Pacific Theatre as a crew chief on a B-24 bomber.

Clifford was a territory manager for Economics Lab for 27 years retiring in December 1983 as was a member of the Million Dollar Club. He was a active member and usher for First Southern Baptist Church.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Dorothy Hayes, 2 brothers Johnnie Watkins, Cecil Watkins, and a son-in-law Clint Lindstrom.

Clifford is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ida Fern Watkins of the home,
A son Jim and wife Sharon Wakins of Topeka; daughter Pam Lindstrom, Olathe; three sisters: Helen June Butrman, West Virginia, Joyce Dean Tulsa, OK, Mary Ann Setters, Overland Park, KS; three brothers Hank Watkins, Tulsa, Ok, Robert Watkins, Galena, KS, Donald Watkins Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.

Cremation is planned. The family will greet friends and relatives from 6:00PM to 7:30PM Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Midtown Chapel. Memorial services will be held at First Southern Baptist Church 11:00am Friday, May 14, 2004. Private inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery . Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice or to First Southern Baptist Church. On-line condolences may be made at www.penwellgabel.com.
