Clifford Cannon
Clifford K. Cannon, 57, Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at a local hospital.
Cliff was born December 30, 1947, in Jacksonville, FL, the son of Cornelius Garnett and Nellie Mariah Gilbert Cannon.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1971. He served on active duty until the end of 1972. He joined the Kansas National Guard in 1975 and was currently with the 714th Maintenance Company. Cliff also worked as a Federal Service Technician for the Kansas National Guard, retiring in April, 2004.
He married Evangeline Collyge on August 24, 2000. She survives. Other survivors include a step-daughter, Liz Evans, Auburn; two grandchildren, a brother, Gilbert Garnett Cannon, Miami, FL and a sister, Kathleen Patricia Cannon, Miami Springs, FL.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Mr. Cannon will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 P.M. on Friday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M.
