Cleo Fern Peery

Cleo Fern Peery, 96, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2008. She was born September 11, 1911 at Westmoreland, KS, the daughter of Ola C. and Jesse Moyne Taylor Siddens. Her mother died when she was three years old. She was raised by her grandparents Lute and Viola Siddens. She lived in Westmoreland 34 years before moving to Topeka in 1945. Cleo married Chester C. Peery on March 19, 1930 at Westmoreland. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1990. Survivors include, a daughter Darlene Boner of Topeka, a sister Ireta DeLapp of Westmoreland, three nephews and a half sister, Jean Ann Newlun. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Mount Hope Cemetery Abby Chapel. Burial will follow. Cleo will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 3:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.
