Cleetis Berry, 96, Topeka, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2006.
Cleetis was born October 23, 1909 and grew up in Topeka. He had four brothers and one sister.
He worked for the State of Kansas for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church.
Cleetis loved nature, hunting, fishing and the great outdoors.
He was a longtime resident of Aldersgate Village.
He married Una Graham in 1931. She died in 1986. In 1988 he married Elizabeth Gregory. She died in 2003. Survivors include two sons; Ken Berry and wife, Aleda, Topeka, and Tim Berry and wife, Linda, Banner, Wyoming; a brother, Willis Berry, Colorado; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. Berry will lie in state at the funeral home after 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
