Claudette G. Conklin, 78, of Topeka, went home peacefully, Friday, February 1, 2013, at Midland Hospice House. Claudette was born June 14, 1934, in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Ames & Mildred Marsh. She married William "Stanley" Conklin May 4, 1956. He preceded her in death May 7, 1993. A daughter, Diane Caudle, also preceded her in death. Claudette worked many years at Stormont Vail Hospital and later for the State of Kansas. She enjoyed making cards for church members and decorating the church for all occasions.
Survivors include daughters, Connie (Michael) Lollar and Sue Conklin; four grandchildren, Jason (Paige) Caudle, Christopher Lollar, of Wichita, Jennifer (Brady) Colp, of Manhattan, and Heather Mabry.
A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday,February 5, 2013, at 1st Congregational Church, 17th & Collins. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. Private inurnment will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
