Clarence A. Price, Jr., 75, of Auburn, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Stormont-Vail. He was born on November 28, 1935 in South Bridge, MA to Clarence A. and Donna Marie (Austin) Price.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War, where he was a POW from 1952 to 1953. Clarence worked for Beach Air Craft in Salina, and later was an over the road truck driver for K-Mart, Overnight Transportation and retired from Watkins Motor Lines in 1997. He and his wife owned and operated Party Time Karaoke with Clarence and Ruth from 1998 until 2006. Later, he began Priceless Candles. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post No. 1650 and Eagles Club in Osage City.
He married Ruth Klingbeil on May 20, 1994 in Miami, OK, she survives. Other survivors include his step children, Gregory (Dana) Klingbeil, Scranton; Renee M. (Jason) Phillips, Perry; Lisa (Thomas) Lolley, Littleton, CO; Lori Rivera, Littleton, CO; and Randy (Jen) Klingbeil, Austin, TX; nieces and nephews, David (Darla) Beebe of Lawrence; Judy (Jim) Rysongolph of Balston Spar, NY; Brian (Lisa) Price of Winter Park, FL; Kathy (Dave) Harman of Pittsfield, MA, Jackie (Marvin) Hopkins, North Highlands, CA; and Bob (Phyllis) Green, Dunn, SC; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine in 1993.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 5 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Military honors will follow the service. Visitation will take place an hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas Dialysis, 634 SW Mulvane St. #300, Topeka, KS 66606.
