Clara E. Hudson , 88, of Topeka, passed away Friday, July 4, 2008 at a local hospital.
She was born December 10, 1919 in Topeka, the daughter of Ernest and Golda (Isenberger) Carlson. She attended Topeka Schools. She was employed by F.W. Woolworth Department Store in Topeka for 42 years, retiring in 1987.
Clara married Kenneth E. Hudson on July 23, 1954 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2001. Survivors include her daughter, Violet Gingrich of Topeka; a brother, Glenn Carlson of Topeka; 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Monday, July 7, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Midtown Chapel. Private inurnment will be at Topeka Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society 2625 NW Rochester Rd, Topeka, KS 66617.
