Claire Elise Fisher, 18, of Topeka, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2006 in rural Iowa due to injuries suffered in an auto accident.
She was born May 15, 1987 in Topeka, the daughter of Robert and Debra Swenson Fisher.
After attending Topeka Collegiate School and graduating from Topeka West High School in 2005, she pursued her interests in child psychology and Spanish at Knox College in Galesburg , IL. Her other interests included vocal music, drama production, Habitat for Humanity, reading for leisure and laughter with friends. To be in her cmpany was a true delight.
Survivors include her parents, Robert and Debra Fisher; a brother, Evan Fisher, all of Topeka; grandparents Robert and Helen Fisher, Topeka; grandparents, Roscoe and Marilyn Swenson, Salina; two aunts, Bette Allen, Topeka and Pamela Gengler, Salina; one uncle, Henry Jerome, Palm Springs, CA.
Miss Fisher will lie in state after 12:00 pm, Saturday Jan. 7 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, Sunday, Jan. 8. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, Jan.9 at Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene, 730 SW. Fairlawn, with burial to follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Claire Elise Fisher Memorial Fund, sent in care of Commerce Bank and Trust, Topeka, KS.
