Claire J. Carlson, 84, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007 at her home.
She was born July 22, 1922 in Randolph, KS, the daughter of Emery and Belle Sweany Anderson.
She was a wonderful mother and homemaker, and was an avid fan of Kansas State and Washburn University sports.
She married Vernon Carlson on Feb. 8, 1941 in Oldsburg, KS. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet Miller; two sons, Steve Carlson and his wife Debbie and Gary Carlson, all of Topeka; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 8 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Visistation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice House, 200 SW. Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606 or to Trinity Lutheran Church, 731 SW. Buchanan, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
