Cindy Catherine Winter

Cindy Catherine Winter, a beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated friend, passed away on March 15, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas.

Her career was marked by dedication as she spent many years serving as a machine operator at Post Holdings. Friends and coworkers will remember her unwavering work ethic and the kindness she brought to the job every day. But Cindy's true passion lay in her family and the simple joys of life. She found solace in her garden, where she nurtured not only flowers but also her love for nature, eagerly feeding the birds and squirrels that visited her.

Cindy was a devoted grandmother, cherishing every moment with her grandkids—Cooper, Carter, and Casper Barnes. They illuminated her life, and her affection was evident in the time they spent together. Whether it was engaging in Diamond Art projects or sharing stories, her grandchildren were the stars of her universe.

Cindy leaves behind her cherished sons, Jerry "JD" (Hillary) Barnes and Dillon Robert Barnes, who will carry forward her legacy of love and strength. She is survived by her father, James Winter, whose guidance and support she valued deeply.

Though she will be profoundly missed, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Cindy is now reunited with her beloved mother, Wanda Catherine Winter, and her brother, Monte Winter, in a peaceful embrace. As family and friends reflect on her life, they will remember the laughter, the shared moments, and the kindness she spread—a tapestry of memories woven with love.

As we say goodbye to Cindy, let us celebrate the remarkable person she was and the joyful legacy she leaves behind.

A celebration of life will be held from 12:00pm-6:00pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Foxridge Townhome Complex, 1209 SW Glendale Dr., Topeka, KS 66609. To honor her love of the Kansas City Chiefs, the family encourages you to wear your favorite fan gear.
