Harold Charles "Chuck" Gordon, 56, of Topeka, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012, at his home.
Chuck was born May 8, 1955, in Kansas City, MO, son of Harry and Libby (Singer) Gordon. He graduated from Ruskin High School, KC, MO, in 1973, and attended Baker University. Chuck was united in marriage to Kimberly Castle on December 10, 1976, in Topeka. Chuck joined his father in Topeka and started Cardinal Building Services. They ran a family operation called Fountain of Youth Gifts Unique, in Topeka, Manhattan, and Lawrence.
He was involved for many years in antique and classic vehicles. Chuck was a lifetime member of CHVA, member of AACA, and Golden Spokes. Among his favorite cars he owned were a 1958 Chevy Impala convertible and 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. Chuck was an active member of DCAC with the USD 501 for over a decade.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Kimberly Gordon, son, Todd Gordon, daughter, Ilana Gordon, and brother, Arnold Gordon, all of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Diane Organ.
Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
