Christopher Charles Brown, 43, of Topeka, passed away Monday, December 7, 2009.
He was born November 3, 1966 in Topeka, the son of Charles F. and Judy A. (DeWitt) Brown. He was employed by Mike Bell, a contractor for Reser's Foods in Topeka.
Survivors include his son, Tanner Brown of Topeka; his mother and step-father, Judy and Jerry McMorris of Meriden; a brother, Matthew McMorris, Topeka; two sisters, Kelly McKinney, High Point, N.C., and Michelle Jones, Greensboro, N.C.; his paternal grandmother, Charlotte Brown, Topeka; a step-grandmother, Ann McMorris, Topeka; two aunts, and uncles, Sheryl and Richard Ratcliff, Carbondale, and Charlot and Ron Walter, Topeka; and five cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandfather, Kenneth Brown; maternal grandparents, Derrel and Dolores DeWitt.
Mr. Brown was cremated. Private family services will be at a later date. Inurnment will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to Tanner Brown Education Fund, sent in care of Credit Unions United, 2634 NW Highway 24, Topeka, KS 66618. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.
