Christine M. Cavender, 66, Topeka, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at home peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Chris was born March 10, 1952 in Cedar Vale, the daughter of Howard G. and Lois R. (Cummins) Baylis. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1970.
She was employed at Por'e Richards for many years, later as an Accounts Payable Clerk for Manpower and the State of Kansas, Department of Health & Environment.
Chris married Len Spencer and they later divorced. She married Dan Falley and later divorced. She married Mark Cavender in 1992. He survives. Other survivors include her daughter, Amie (Brent) Spencer Byrd, Greensboro, NC; son, Jason (Tina) Spencer, Topeka; step-children, Jennifer Falley, Bre Hill, Kristen (Brandon Colvin) Cavender, Topeka; sister, Virginia (Craig Walker) Head, Topeka; her mother, Lois Baylis Lutz, Topeka; grandchildren, Codie McNeil, Aubrian Spencer, Parker and Madison Byrd, Austin Spencer, Jonathan Brunkow, Chelsea Sanchez, Chantal Kildea, Harper Hill; and great-grandchildren, Jace McNeil, Ayden and Alexander Brunkow, and Mason Sanchez. She was also preceded in death by her father; and brother, Mike Baylis.
Chris was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at The Landing Grille & Bar, 2920 SE Croco Rd., Topeka.
