Christine Berns, 66, of Topeka, passed away, Tuesday, May 22, 2012.
She was born May 4, 1946 to Arnold Berns, Jr. & Mary (Slough) Berns in Newton, Kansas.
Christine earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas and a Master's degree through of Emporia State University.
Christine enjoyed art as a discipline in her educational and personal life. She painted oil paintings and also did print-making and made metal figurines.
Survivors include three siblings, Jeff Berns, Mary Lassiter, and Arnold Berns; Christine also had seven nephews: Luke Long, John Long, Nick Long, Hank Long, Micah Long and Rob and Ryan Berns.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold Berns Jr. and Marry Slough Berns.
A graveside service will be in Quincy, Kansas. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, Topeka, assisted the family in arrangements.
