Christina Lynn Kratochvil

March 25, 1968 — March 9, 2025

Topeka

Christina Lynn Kratochvil, born on March 25, 1968, in Madison, Wisconsin, departed this world on March 9, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose heart resonated with warmth, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to caring for those around her.

Family was the cornerstone of her life, and she embodied the role of matriarch and anchor. A loving companion to her husband, Larry Lynn Kratochvil, she supported their family with strength and resilience. Christina was blessed with three wonderful children: son Garrett (Ginny Kennedy) Moise, and daughters Kassadee Clark and Lonnje Watson. Each of her children will forever hold dear the lessons, laughter, and love she imparted. Christina took immense pride in her grandchildren — Princeton Kennedy, Jayden Moise, Atlus Watson, Azalea Watson, and Machias Moise — cherishing every moment spent with them

She shared a special bond with her eight nieces and eight nephews and treated them as her own children. Her legacy will continue through these young lives.

She was a loving daughter to David and Leona Byrne, and devoted sister to Carmen (Al) Carothers, Stephanie Brassington, Kandace (Zoila) Aviles, Melissa Byrne, and brother Shannon (Lydia) Byrne, sharing a bond that was both deep and enduring and knew her unwavering love and care.

Christina's spirit was reflected in her hobbies and interests. She adored her dogs and found joy in gardening; sitting on her front porch was her oasis while watching her flowers bloom. Music filled her home, often inspiring her to break into song, bringing joy and laughter to all who were near. Her longtime best friend, Allie, provided her with companionship and countless memories; having shared their hearts since 6th grade, their bond was a testament to true friendship.

Christina enjoyed a fulfilling and impactful 15-year career at Stormont Vail Hospital, where she exemplified her passion for helping others. Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional life; she was involved in her local community as a volunteer with Doorstep and the United Way Foundation, where she ran initiatives for Stormont Vail Hospital. Her love for her faith shone through her involvement at Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene, where she supported the women’s ministry and youth group and nurtured her passion for bringing people together through her extraordinary energy.

Christina’s vibrant personality and caring nature left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. She was extraordinary, strong, and resilient. "Loving" was her word; she defined it in every aspect of her life. For all of those who knew her, Christina's spirit will forever be a comforting presence.

In honor of her remarkable life, a Celebration of Life will take place on March 16, 2025, at the Big Gage Shelter House in Topeka, Kansas, where family and friends will gather from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM to reflect on her lasting impact and cherish the loving memories shared.

Christina Lynn Kratochvil is survived by her beloved family and friends who will carry her love and spirit in their hearts forever. She now joins her mother, Patricia Ann Byrne, in peace.
