Christian Charles Hutcherson, 21, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023.
He was born January 16, 2002, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of William Hutcherson and Racheal Sonnier. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 2020. Christian was a part of the JROTC for four years while in high school.
Christian joined the Army Reserves at the age of 17. He was proud of his service and served as a mechanic.
Christian was employed by the Beyond Landscaping.
He had a passion for hunting, fishing and playing video games. He often went to car shows, antique stores and the Army surplus stores. Christian loved listening to rock music and hanging out with his dog, Angel. He cherished the relationship that he had with his mother, father and siblings. He will be remembered as the Champion of a hot dog and cherry pie eating contest. He was a jokester. His favorite holiday was 4th of July because he enjoyed blowing up fireworks.
Survivors include his mother, Racheal (Joseph Mahoney) Sonnier; father, William (Kari) Hutcherson; siblings, William (Kailie) Thomas Hutcherson, Jr., JoAnn (David) Chelsey Hutcherson- Vanwey, MaKayla Michael Hutcherson, O'Ciana (Nick) Campbell and Wayne (Eivi) Kenneth Jasper; maternal grandparents, Peggy and Charles Kunkel and Michael (Deanne) Sonnier; paternal grandmother, Virginia Fuller; bonus grandparents, Matt and Susan Mahoney; aunts, Amber, Liz, Jessica, Valerie and Venessa; Uncles, Richard, Michael, Roy and Patrick and god mother, Alejandra Munoz. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William G. Fuller and great grandparents.
A Funeral Ceremony will be at 11:00 am., Friday, August 25, 2023 at the Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. His family will greet friends and family one hour prior.
