Chris L. "Sonny" Kuone, 68, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014. He was born April 5, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Christian and Leona (Flood) Kuone.
On September 1, 1972, in Kansas City, Missouri, Sonny married Sandra "Sandy" L. Daniels. She survives. Other survivors include sons, Jerimy Kuone, Aaron Kuone, and Robert Kuone; granddaughters, Dontasha Rhodes and Michelle Kuone; grandson, Christopher Kuone; brothers, Clarence Kuone and Gerald "Gene" Kuone; and sisters, Bonnie Hardy, Kathy McMahon, and Barbara Mims.
Sonny was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a specialist E-4 and production worker with Welch Manufacturing.
Sonny enjoyed old trucks, especially in the 50's and 60's, and caring for children and grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at the Mount Hope Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66604, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
