Charlotte Jane Ratliff, 77, of Eskridge, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
She was born December 30, 1945, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Albert and Evelyn (Carter) Boring.
She graduated from Topeka High School in 1963. In 1967, she earned her bachelor's degree from Washburn University and in 1995, earned her Master's of Business Administration from Emporia State University.
Charlotte was F.A.C.S. teacher at various Topeka Public Schools for 14 years, retiring in 2010 from Topeka West High School.
She was a member of Helena Chapel No. 210 of the Order of Eastern Star. She was also part of the alumni committee with Topeka High Topeka West class of 1963. Charlotte was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority at Washburn University.
On June 11, 1967, she married Dr. Dean William Ratliff, II in Topeka. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1991. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and John Boring.
Survivors include two sons, Grady (Dona) Ratliff and Cody Ratliff; two grandchildren, Rylan and Kennedy Ratliff.
Charlotte enjoyed sewing and crafting. She also directed the school musicals, mostly at French Middle School.
Visitation with Star Services will begin at 10am, followed by funeral service at 11am on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Mount Hope Chapel. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
