Charlotte Emma Eaton

Charlotte Emma Eaton, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012. She was born July 10, 1925, in Hartford, CT, the daughter of Percy and Edith Caye. She was a graduate of East Hartford High School and worker for Pratt & Whitney, building B-17's during the war. In 1945, Charlotte married Floyd Eaton. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary last year.

Survivors include husband, Floyd, of the home; two sons, Dennis Eaton (Sandy) and Kevin Eaton (Lora Carlson), both of Topeka; two grandchildren, Kimberly Montaini (Aron) and Scott Eaton; and two great-grandchildren, Thomas Bell and Christian Montaini.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date. The family will receive guests from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1320 SE 6th Avenue, P.O. Box 599, Topeka, KS 66601.
