Charlotte A. Carlgren

Charlotte A. Carlgren, 67, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born on December 8, 1941 in Concordia, the daughter of Harvey and Daisy Ross Hoelscher. She graduated from Concordia High School. She has resided in Topeka since 1964. She was a member of Topeka Bible Church. Charlotte married Arthur E. Carlgren on May 1, 1960 in Concordia. He survives. Other survivors include one son, Kevin E. Carlgren and his wife, Mariah of Topeka, three grandchildren, Cooper, Chloe and Josie and one brother, Gene Hoelscher of Sutton, NE. Charlotte was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly A. Carlgren on December 8, 1974 and one brother, Ellis Hoelscher. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Charlotte will not lie in state. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, 4125 S.W.
