Chad E. Barker, 37, Topeka, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at Stormont-Vail after a brief illness.
He was born April 2, 1976, in Topeka, the son of Orville and Carole (Whalen) Barker. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1994.
Chad was employed by Frito Lay, where he has been for 8 years.
He is survived by his siblings, Donna Estrada-Munoz, Thomas E. Barker, Vincent L. Barker and Peggy Sue ( Jason) Porter and several extended family.
Funeral services will be 1 pm, Friday, January 24, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel-Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
Chad will lie in state after 12 noon and the family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, January 23 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to United Way, 1315 SW Arrowhead Rd, Topeka, 66604.
