Catherine L. Wagner
Catherine Marie Leava Wagner died September 10, 2003 at her home. Mrs. Wagner was employed by South-Western Bell Telephone Co. over 40 years. She was a Service Analyst Supervisor before retirement in 1977.
She was born April 25, 1913 at St. Joseph, MO, the daughter of Barney and Caroline Dieker Leava. She graduated from High School at the Scared Heart Convent, St, Joseph, MO and St. Joseph, MO.
Mrs. Wagner was a member of Westside Christian Church, Topeka, KS and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She had been a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Good Neighbors, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and Maude Bishop School.
She was married to Charles Raymond "Ray" Wagner, Sr. June 27, 1959 in Topeka, KS. He preceded her in death January 18, 1987. Also a Step-Daughter, Merittia J. Wagner Chalmers preceded her in death June 23, 1992.
Survivors include a Step-son Charles Raymond "Ray" Wagner, Jr., Hot Springs, AR. Two Nieces, Mrs. Madelyn Kacmar, Lansing, ILL, Mrs. Norma Thien, Cypress, CA. One nephew Charles Ronald Leava, Gladstone, MO., Several
Step-grandchildren, and Step-Great Grandchildren.
Mrs, Wagner was cremated. At her request there will be no Memorial Services. Entombment will be in the Chapel Garden at Mount Hope Mausoleum.
