Catharine Gouldthread
Catharine (Kitty) Lee Gouldthread was born December 5, 1914, and passed away, May 9, 2008.
She was the only child of Catharine L. and George E. Disney. Mrs. Gouldthread was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Gouldthread and their only child, Catharine Lee Meyer.
Survivors include son-in-law, John Meyer and wife, Marilyn; grandchildren: Robert & Leona Meyer; John & Debra Meyer and Brenda & Stephen Bradley, as well as 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
Mrs. Gouldthread was born and raised in Baltimore and married Robert Gouldthread in 1933 in Cumberland, MD. Mr. Gouldthread's position with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company allowed them to live in Akron, Ohio; South Africa; Argentina; Pasadena, CA and Topeka, KS.
Mrs. Gouldthread was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Topeka, KS, was an active member of PEO and served extensively in the community.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday June 2, 2008 at Mt. Hope Chapel. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
