Casey William Reed, 33, of Burlingame, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009.
He was born May 19, 1976 in Topeka, KS, the son of John William and Ila J. (Houston) Reed. He was a graduate of Washburn Rural High School.
Survivors include his son, Nathanel Ryan Reed of Topeka; his mother, Ila J. Baker and her husband, Michael of Burlingame; his father, John William Reed and his wife, Linda of Jacksonville, FL; his brother, John William Keith and his wife, Angie of Perry; his sister, Kellie Dougan and her husband, Darrel of Topeka; nieces and nephews, Chris Dougan, Savannah Hays, Connor Dougan, Madeline Hays, Kayleb Brooks, Jack Dougan; maternal grandparents, Chuck and Billie Blankenship of Fredericksburg, TX, Greg and Terry Houston of Davidson N.C.; paternal aunts, Jeanette Crispin, Linda (Jack) Young; maternal aunts and uncles, Susan (Mike) Dunnaway, Marilyn (Mark) O'Brien, Greg Houston, Bill (Sara) Houston, Phillip (Mary Beth) Houston. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Anita Hamilton.
Mr. Reed was cremated. Memorial services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Valeo Behavioral Health Care, 2401 SW 6th, Topeka, KS 66606.
