Cary Jeanann Madl, 46, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023.
She was born November 17, 1976, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Duayne Madl and Barbara (Sonday) Madl Taylor. She has two half-sisters, Abigail Taylor and Megan Taylor. Cary was placed at Johnson Crib Care Home in Lee Summit, MO when she was three months old. While living there, Cary, attended the Blue Springs Deaf-Blind Center. She moved to Kansas Neurological Institute in December of 1985. She attended and graduated from KNI's Special Purpose School in May of 1998. Cary worked as a door greeter at KNI. Cary had attended chapel services at KNI and the REACH Mass at Most Pure Heart in Topeka.
Some of Cary's favorite things to do were to listen to music and travel. She also had a large collection of dolls. Cary had a very special relationship with her foster grandparent, Mae Graves and other staff members at KNI over the years. She will be greatly missed by staff and peers at KNI.
A memorial service will be held to honor Cary on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 11:00am at Kansas Neurological Institute, Wheatland Classroom A and B.
