Carroll Homer Roehl, 80, Topeka, passed away May 26, 2006 at his home.
He was born of Arthur and Edna Soupene Roehl, on December 8, 1925, near Manhattan. He attended Manhattan schools and Kansas State University.
He served in the U. S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II.
He worked as a professional salesman in Topeka most of his life.
He was a Master Mason, raised in Topeka Lodge #17. He was a member of Topeka's Golden Rule Lodge #90, York Rite Chapter #5, Arab Shrine, and the Topeka Scottish Rite, where he was honored in receiving his KCCH. Earlier in life, he was an Adviser to the local DeMolay Chapter and a Council Member for Bethel #1 of Job's Daughters.
He belonged to the American Legion Capital Post #1 and the V.F.W. Post #1650.
He was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Topeka, where he previously taught children's Sunday school, ushered, and was active with the Lunch Bunch.
In May 1950, he married Marjorie Ann Bareiss in Topeka. They had two daughters, Karyl-Ann Roehl, Topeka, and Lt. Col. Mary Kathryn Roehl, Marietta, Georgia. He is survived by his immediate family, two sisters, Bonnie Prideaux of Derby, and Marg Godsey of Sumner, Washington, and his companion, Lois Haines, Topeka.
Graveside Inurnment Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2006 at the Humboldt Cemetery in rural Geary County, Kansas.
A gathering at a Junction City restaurant will follow.
