Carolyn Lucille Fry

Carolyn Lucille Fry, 76, died February 19, 2025 in Gardner, Kansas. Carolyn was met at heaven’s gates by her brother, Steve, who had passed away about 12 hours earlier.

Carolyn was born October 13, 1948, in Kansas City, Kan., to Lucille Elizabeth (Roulund) and Robert Dean Fry. She grew up in Prairie Village and was a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School and Johnson County Community College. Carolyn was a gentle person who loved animals, reading, and learning about the world.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Steve Fry, on Feb. 19, 2025.

Survivors are her sister-in-law, Anita Fry; her nephew, Andy Fry; her niece, Meredith Fry; and two great nieces, Ava and Anna Fry, all of Topeka.

Private family graveside services will be held at Melvern Cemetery.

The family thanks Carolyn’s caregivers at Meadowbrook South Nursing Home in Gardner for their care of and kindness to Carolyn over the years, and Prairie Wind Hospice.
