Carolee (Barrett) Horton

Carolee (Barrett) Horton, 80, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015. She was born September 19, 1934, in Meriden, Kansas, and the daughter of Billy and Myrna (Tripp) Barrett.
Carolee was a 1951 graduate of Valley Falls High School. She loved spending time with family and friends.
Carolee married Dale R. Horton on December 4, 1954, in Topeka, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include her sons, Gary and Rick Horton; and grandchildren, Stephen, Sarah, and Brooke Horton. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. Interment will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
