Carol Ruth Tudder 94, formerly of Topeka, passed away December 24, 2023, at Azria Care Center in Clarinda, Iowa.
She was born on May 3, 1929 to Ora and Gertie (O'Neal) Gillett in Island City, Missouri. Carol was the tenth of ten children.
Carol attended various country schools in Gentry County, Missouri before being a proud graduate of Stanberry High School in Stanberry, MO on May 13, 1948. On August 14, 1948 she married Donald Glen Tudder in Stanberry, MO by Rev. Lee Lewis. They had two children Randy and Linda. They were blessed to share 51 years before Donald's passing in 1999.
She was preceded in death by her father; Ora (1932), mother; Gertie (1965), son; Randy (1987), daughter; Linda (2012), brothers; Alvin, Clayton, Harland, Eugene, Roy, Paul, Lester, sisters; Zella, Strausie, and Florence.
Carol is survived by her granddaughter; Melissa (Justin) Joy, great-grandchildren; Grayson Joy, Riley Joy, caretakers for the past ten years, niece and nephews; Cecil (Marlene) Demott, Judy (Junior) McCall and Phil (Mary) Gillett.
Graveside services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas, viewing will begin at 11:00am until 11:30am prior to the graveside service.
