Carol L. Myers

Carol Leon Myers, 78, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born on September 19, 1933 in Topeka, Kansas to Glen and Dorothy (Yowel) Sturgis.
On September 26, 1952 she married Roy L. Myers in Topeka. Together they ran R.L. Myers Construction. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and various bowling leagues in Topeka.
Carol is survived by her husband, their children, Tara McCoy of Colorado Springs, CO; Kevin (Debra) Myers of Topeka and Stacey Myers of Colorado Springs, CO; her mother, one brother, Glen Sturgis, one sister, Debbie Meyer all of Topeka; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, September 14 at Topeka Cemetery. Visitation will be held today, from 6 – 7 pm at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, in care of the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604.
