Carol A. Brown, age 92, of Topeka, died Tuesday, April 14, 2003, at a local care facility.
She was born April 14, 1911, in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of James and Mattie Riley Hadsell. She has resided in Topeka, Kansas her entire life.
Mrs. Brown was a member of First Christian Church in Topeka, Kansas where she belonged to several church organizations. She was an avid bridge player.
She married Wendell D. Brown August 14, 1936, in Topeka, Kansas. He passed away September 29, 1995.

2 Daughters: Marcia Crews Los Angeles, California
Julie Martin Southport, North Carolina

A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at First Christian Church. Interment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown will lie in state after 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2003, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where a visitation will be 6-7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimers Association - Topeka Chapter PO Box 1427 Topeka, Kansas 66601 or to the First Christian Church 1880 SW Gage Blvd. Topeka, Kansas 66604.
