Carl J. Miller

Carl J. Miller, 70, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at his home. He was born September 7, 1940 in Atchison, the son of John and Pearl Tipling Miller. He graduated from Holton High School and attended Washburn University.

Carl was employed by KP&L for 30 years and retired from Southern Missouri Gas Energy in 1995. He was a member of Seabrook Lodge No. 385 AF&AM and First Congregational Church.

Carl is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marsha, their children, Teuka (David) Cox, John Miller, Todd (Natalie) Miller and Susan Miller all of Topeka, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Mary (Bob) Pollock of Holton, Bonnie Rouse, Jim (Sharon) Miller and Linda (Steve) Heston, all of Topeka.

Cremation has taken place and as per Carl's wishes, memorial services and inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care Hospice Services, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606 or to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Rd., Topeka, KS 66617. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
