Carl Stewart Emery, 82, of Topeka, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023.
He was born April 13, 1941, in Akron, Ohio, the son of Orville and Martha (Walters) Emery. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1959.
Carl worked for 38 years at Goodyear from 1965 to 2003. He worked in Akron,OH, Gadsden, AL and retired in Topeka, KS.
He was a proud US Marine serving from September 1959 to September 1963.
After retirement Carl enjoyed traveling with his wife Karol. Together they would hit the road from the east coast to the west coast exploring the continental United States when they could.
Carl married Karol Currington on December 10, 1962, she survives. Other survivors include his children, Larry Emery, Adam (Tyra) Emery, and Lori (Henryk) Zajac; grandson, Kyle Emery, his beloved dog Zoey, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Martha and his siblings, John and Geraldine.
Cremation is planned and no services are set at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to http://www.alz.org/
