Carl E. Miller

Carl E."Sarge" Miller, 69, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2006 at a Topeka hospital ER. He was born on June 9, 1936 in Sedalia, MO, the son of Olin A. and Bessie L. Case Miller. Carl was a career Air Force veteran, serving until his retirement in September of 1973. After his retirement, he worked in car sales for various dealerships in Topeka. He was a member of the Shooting Stars Square Dance Club and was an avid sports fan. He married Agnes R. Link on October 20, 1956. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Joseph and wife, Teresa of Sedalia, MO, and Robert and Daron, both of Topeka , one granddaughter, Tierra and two brothers, Bennie L. Miller of Bedford, TX and Ronald D. Miller of Independence, MO and numerous nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina S. Miller. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Disabled American Veterans, 2021 S.W. Moundview, Topeka, KS. 66604.
