Camille McKee, 99, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 in Topeka.
She was born February 16, 1909 in Havensville, KS, the daughter of Harley and Cora (Beach) Davis and married Curtis McKee in Hiawatha, KS on December 23, 1929. Camille and Curtis had two sons, Marvin and Gary "Kenny".
In 1951, Camille and Curtis moved to Topeka. They were best known as long-time assistant managers at the First Christian Church Apartments where Camille lived until shortly before her death.
Camille was preceded in death by her husband and sons. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Marian McKee, Topeka; granddaughters, Colleen Zimmerman (John Sprague), Ann Arbor, MI, Cathy Martindale, Dallas, TX, and Christine Chavez, (Richard), Topeka; a sister, Rosalie Icenogle, Topeka; seven great-grandchildren, Curtis, Michael, Gabriel, Lainee, Lexie, Emilie, and Amber; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In life and at death, Camille's love for her Lord and Savior, her family and friends meant everything to her. In return, she will be truly missed by those she left behind.
Mrs. McKee was cremated. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2008 at Topeka Bible Church, 1101 SW Mulvane, Topeka, KS 66604. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Bible Church, or to Midland Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.
