C. Wayne Peterson, 72, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018.

He was born December 5, 1945, in Wichita, the son of the late Virgil and Karen.

Wayne owned and operated Peterson Systems First Class Window Tinting since 1977. He was a member of the Topeka British Car Club and GMC Motorhome International. He was an avid sailor.

Wayne married Janet on February 21, 1970 at Bethany Methodist in Wichita. She preceded him in death on June 24, 2016.

Survivors include daughter, Jamie (Clint); granddaughters, Margreta, Maygan, and Mallory; siblings, Cookie, Marty, and Harold; step-brother, John (Janis); and step-mother, Georgia.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Leota; brother, Gene; and half-brother, Michael.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 5, 2018, at Highland Park United Methodist Church, 2914 SE Michigan, Topeka, Kansas 66605, where the family will receive guests one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
