Cleora June Hutchins, 94, of Topeka, passed away February 16, 2021.

She was born June 16, 1926, to Frank and Lorene Barcellina, in Osage City, Kansas. She spent her childhood with one brother and graduated from Osage City High School in 1944. Upon graduation, she moved to Topeka, Kansas and attended Strickler Business College.

June married George Hutchins of Glen Elder, Kansas on August 10, 1952 in Osage City, and they resided in Topeka, Kansas thereafter. George and June were united in marriage for 68 years, until he passed in August 2020.

June was a very active member of Lowman United Methodist Church for 66 years, where she was a member of United Methodist Women. Among her many volunteer activities at Lowman, she particularly enjoyed volunteering at the thrift shop.

She also served in several organizations and clubs, including: Mulvane Art Museum (board member), Santa Fe Women's Club, Cub Scouts (den mother), Crestview / McCarter Elementary schools (room mother).

June and George loved square dancing, traveling and snow birding in Arizona.

Her favorite bible scripture, Psalms 121:8, reads "The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever". The verse best describes our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Led by the Lord, she always watched over our family with unwavering love, guiding us with presence and prayers.

June was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Dwain.

She is survived by her three sons, Mike of Topeka, Dan and wife Susie of Shawnee, Kansas, Roger and wife Lori of Highland Village, Texas.
