C. Ferol Lindsey

October 9, 1926 — December 26, 2014

C. Ferol Lindsey passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Midland Hospice House. She was born in Ottawa, KS, the daughter of Christopher and Edna Blanche Loper.

She attended Puget Sound University in Washington to study Music Theory, and she taught piano and voice at the Trenton Conservatory of Music in Trenton, N.J. She lived and traveled the world. For the last 40 years, she was a Christian Science Practitioner. Ferol was very intelligent and had a quick wit. She enjoyed world politics and loved to laugh. She will be missed by those that knew her.

Ferol married Col. R.V. Lindsey. He preceded her in death in 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Douglas Lee Lindsey and seven siblings. Survivors include one daughter, Riki S. (David) Cobler of Topeka and her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Dean Lindsey of Wichita, KS.

As per Ferol's wishes, no services are planned and private inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the First Church of Christ, Scientist, 2600 SW Fairlawn Rd., Topeka, KS 66614 or to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, KS 66604. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting the family.
