C. Donald Close
Rev. C. Donald Close, 92, Topeka, died Sunday, June 20, 2004 at Stormont-Vail Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 19, 1912 in Princeton, New Jersey, and had lived in Topeka since 1974.
Rev. Close married Florence G. Williams on Oct. 20, 1936 in St. Louis. She survives.
Other survivors include his daughter, Patricia Walcher of Andover, KS, his son, Donald Alan Close of Los Alamos, NM, two granddaughters, Stephanie Wesselowski of Milwaukee, WI and Michelle Wilkens of Manhattan, KS, and his sister, Helen McCann of Glen Carbon, IL.
Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 812 SW Topeka Blvd., 66612, The Good Samaritan Fund at Topeka Presbyterian Manor, 4712 SWW 6th Ave., 66606, or Meals On Wheels, 1500 SW 10th Ave, 66604.
Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
