Buford "Bud" Bolejack, 81, of Topeka, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017.
He was born on March 7, 1936 in Marysville, KS to Adryn Buford Bolejack and Hatty W. (Roepke) Bolejack. He graduated from Seaman High School in 1954.
Following his education he served in the United States Navy Reserves.
He married Marie Tripp on August 2, 1968 in Topeka, KS. She survives. Other survivors include sons, Doug (Rita) Bolejack, Christopher Bolejack, and William Crouch; a daughter, Cindy (Eugene) Hefner; a daughter-in-law, Jenny Bolejack; a sister, Helen (Don) Sumner; 14 Grandchildren, Forrest Bolejack, Tristen Bolejack, Taylor Medina, Alex Medina, Hayden Bolejack, Parker Bolejack, Emily Mattingly, Luke Bolejack, Tony Nelson, Jerad Hefner, Gina Villeda, Jordan Hefner, Ariel Crouch, and Dru Crouch; 7 great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Lucille, Claire, Easton, Watson, Christian, Kaedon; he is also survived by Barbara Aubert, and Adele M. Bolejack.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Erik Bolejack.
Bud enjoyed bird watching, attending church activities and watching KU basketball.
Bud will lie in state from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery & Mausoleum.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at East Side Baptist Church, 4425 SE 29th Street, Topeka.
