Buddie Salsbury, age 90, passed away peacefully in Topeka on Monday, March 22, 2021. He was born on a farm in LeRoy, Kansas in 1930, the son of William and Juanita (Donnell) Salsbury. Buddie was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving from 1948 to 1952.
He was married to his wife Dolores for over 57 years, and together they raised seven children. Starting as a young man who worked three jobs to support his growing family, he went on to become a successful developer who built thousands of homes in Kansas, Texas, and Florida. He loved golf, dancing, and sharing a laugh with other people. During retirement, he and Dolores traveled the country in their motorhome, visiting friends and family.
Buddie is survived by his sons Aaron and Eric, daughters Tamra, Sherry, and Amy, siblings Bonnie and Billy, eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores, son Benjie, and daughter Leslie.
Private family burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial service is planned for the summer.
