Bryce E. McCarter, 88, of Topeka, passed away May 31, 2018.
He was born April 17, 1930 the son of James C. and Martha Avis (King) McCarter.
He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1948. Bryce served four years in the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a postman, Topeka Fire Fighter and also worked as a computer supervisor for the State of Kansas retiring in 1993.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Jack, Duane, Boyce and a sister, Barbara Joyce Metzler.
He is survived by 13 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Street Topeka, KS. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.
