Bruce Donald Patterson, 61, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017.
Bruce was born October 23, 1956, in Topeka, KS, to Donald and Mary Patterson. He graduated in 1975 from St. John's Military Academy in Salina, KS and later receiving his bachelor's degree in nursing from Edison State College. He was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church, Topeka. Bruce loved travel and scuba dive. He also enjoyed playing the drums and rockin' out to the Beach Boys.
He is survived by his parents; sister, Nancy (Bruce) Chapman of San Antonio, TX; and daughter, Brenna Connett of Indianola, IA.
Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Lori Patterson.
A celebration of Bruce's life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church, 817 SW Harrison Street, Topeka, KS 66612. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.
Inurnment will take place at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
