Brian Lee Bailey, 25, of Silver Lake, Kansas.
Our Lord wrapped his loving arms around Brian to summon him on a new mission Tuesday, April 21, 2015 with his family by his side.
Brian was born October 20, 1989, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Mark Brian and Jami Lynn (Douglass) Bailey. He attended St. Marys schools. He served in the United States Army Infantry, specializing in the Mortar and Missile Unit. Brian was also currently attending Washburn Technical College with an emphasis in Business.
Brian married Tasha Nicole Spivey on November 7, 2014 in Topeka. She survives of the home. Other survivors include three children, Janelle Marie Bailey (daughter of Jennifer Milsaps from previous marriage), Aaliyah Nicole Sutton and Braylen Michael Spivey; his mother, Jami (Don) Colson, St. Marys; his father, Mark (Debbie) Bailey, Topeka; siblings, Brandon James (Brianne) Bailey, Wichita, Brandon Wayne (Kim) Colson, Topeka, Jordon William Colson, St. Marys, Justin (Dawn) Villalobos, Topeka, and Rebecca (Devin) McAnderson, Lawrence; maternal grandmother, Annette Douglass, Topeka; paternal grandparents, Donald and Marietta Bailey, Topeka; an uncle, Gary Douglass, Topeka; several nieces and nephews, Brooklyn Marie Bailey, Joshua Hand, Jasmine Villalobos, Michael Villalobos, McKayla McAnderson, Jaxson McAnderson, Kendra Colson, Hunter Colson and Cayden Colson. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Douglass.
Brian was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandson. He enjoyed hockey, fishing, baseball, hunting and especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved soaking in the hot tub.
A memorial ceremony will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church, 812 SW Topeka Blvd., Topeka.
Friends and family are encouraged to bring photographs and memories to share with family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tasha Bailey to be designated for the children's education. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka.
