Brenda Candido

Brenda Hills Candido, 7, of Lawrence, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She was born on May 7, 1998 in Miami, Florida, the daughter of Juraci De Oliveira and Cristina A. Silva Candido. She lived most of her life in Topeka before moving to Lawrence two months ago. She was attending Wanamaker Elementary School in Topeka. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Topeka. Survivors include her parents, one sister, Kathyleen M. Candido of Topeka, two brothers, John S. Candido of Topeka, Oliver S. Candido of Topeka and her grandmother, Floripes D. Candido of Brazil. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2401 S.W. Kings Row in Topeka. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery. Brenda will lie in state one hour prior to service time at the church. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
