Bonnibelle Taber-D'Angelo, 87, Topeka, died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
Bonnie was born June 11, 1927 in Larned to Sidney "Gerald" and Faye McConnaughhay. She graduated from Larned High School in 1945 and from the Hertzler Nursing School in Halstead in 1950.
She worked as a Registered Nurse at the Colmery-O'Neil V.A. Medical Center, retiring in 1971.
Bonnie married Raymond Taber on October 14, 1962 at Lowman United Methodist Church. Together they operated two businesses, West Winds Cabins of Grand Lake, CO from 1975-1992 and Taber Arms Apartments in Topeka from 1986 to 2009.
They enjoyed many family trips from coast to coast. Their most memorable trip was to Nova Scotia.
Bonnie's husband, Raymond died October 4, 1990. Bonnie married Philip D'Angelo on January 25, 1997. He died March 9, 2008. Survivors include daughter, Michelle Taber, Topeka; grandson, Jon Ripperger, Leavenworth; granddaughter, Erin Ripperger, Topeka; great-grandchildren, Isabella & Ivan Ripperger, Leavenworth; brother, David McConnaughhay, Kechi; and sister, Leona Figgs, Sabetha. She was also preceded in death by brothers, John and Robert McConnaughhay; and a sister, Nancy Branstetter.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until service time on Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or Grace Hospice, or Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
