Bonita "Bonnie" L. Hartzell, 81, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014.
Bonnie was born September 23, 1932, in Topeka, daughter of William and Florence (Young) Morgan. She married Allen Hartzell on December 20, 1951.
In her younger years, Bonnie worked at Hallmark Cards in Topeka. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life.
She was a member of Oakland Church of the Nazarene, where she was a Sunday school teacher and nursery helper.
Bonnie is survived by her two children, Ron (Dona) Hartzell, Tecumseh, and Ken Hartzell, Topeka, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and sister, Marilyn Jean Greenmore, Orlando, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Ethel, Helen, Mildred and Margaret.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association or Grace Hospice.
